Redefining the rules of the space allows for entry AND participation in the game.
To co-create within the beautiful and world-changing enterprise that is engineering and design.
That is my vision for the kind of world I want to live in and to leave when I’m gone. Co-Creation in this space that I feel so passionate about and I know will continue to always change the world (for better or worse). I’m pushing for the good of our field.
And while this is true, we can only co-create when we welcome others into the space, truly welcoming them in AND making them feel safe, capable, competent and confident enough to do so. Otherwise, we’re still excluding. It is 2025 and it has become abundantly clear to anyone the tactics that prevent entry into gated spaces, therefore it is false to claim ignorance at this point.
I want to spend time working on this effort to outline the tangible changes to be made across the industry and inside engineering-centered businesses.
