3D Printing Projects – Custom Radio Mount (May 2024)

Radio unit base designed in CAD. 3D Modeling and 3D Printing.

I was commissioned to develop a more robust and inexpensive base for a radio unit a client was developing. After several interactions, a base was created to fit within a weatherproof container, utilizing the existing heat-set hardware.

Replacing this expensive base with the 3D printed version.
These bases were being replaced with the new design.
Client provided mock-up of the design they wanted with the radio and battery housing laid on top.
