ONGOING AND CURRENT PROJECT.
I am building a platform that provides 3D printing use and troubleshooting support for beginners, schools, and other organizations that use this technology.
PROBLEM: Beginners who are involved in FDM 3D Printing encounter barriers to accessibility which prevent them from fully using them to create. While budget-friendly printers exist, their potential is often hindered by a lack of robust support and user-friendly interfaces. The current solutions that exist are YouTube channels, online 3D printing pages, and forums. While these do exist and offer value to more advanced or more technical users, they are more often unhelpful due to their vague solutions. When issues arise, so much time is spent seeking troubleshooting advice. This results in frustration, a lot of time wasted and often the user leaving the hobby entirely.
SOCIAL MISSION: Therefore,
Mission Statement: “The mission is to be the central hub for 3D printer enthusiasts and educational spaces worldwide, offering impeccable support tools, educational resources, and programs that empower users to independently troubleshoot, repair, and proficiently use their 3D printers. We also aim to make 3D printing accessible to young creators and aspiring engineers, artists, designers, and inventors, fostering creativity and helping them realize fuller opportunities.”
Vision Statement: “To create a world where 3D printing is accessible and intuitive for everyone, facilitating innovation and creativity for the betterment of society globally.”
Currently developing content and support for 3D Printing in Kenya at the Kijana Global Innovation School.
