I planned and designed a tool (dashboard) for young technical creators interested in engineering and design, who may lack strong associations [within the field], resources, or a focused way to organize their thoughts, to have a system to create, without friction. The goal was to blur the boundaries of creator and consumer; to design with people, not for people.
With a vision to co-create within the beautiful and world-changing enterprise that is engineering and design.
I taught myself user interface and user experience design (UI/UX design) and design principles, along with basic full-stack technology basics to enable the creation of simple MVP’s.
These are some of the hand sketched/annotated dashboard layouts that I planned on incorporating for the creator dashboard.
I later used V0 by Vercel, an AI tool, to help me build the MVP interface of the app. No backend. Below is the image of the first version:
I was working primarily with Next.js in VS Code, but attempted versions with HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
I will need to consult a full-stack developer to build out this tool, due to my major lack of experience. I have, however, started work on building a version using Google Sheets, which I plan on finishing sometime in 2025.
